Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Breakfast Baker to join our team in a world-class camp facility.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years' experience in cooking and baking in a similar or hotel/institutional environment. A strong background in preparing baked goods for large numbers of guests is essential.

Responsibilities:

  • Preparation and baking from scratch
  • Restocking pastry shelves and maintaining a sufficient and fresh supply of baked goods
  • Wrapping and dating all baked goods in accordance with production schedule
  • Stocking / Inventory / assisting with unloading, loading and placing of groceries and supplies
  • Incorporating requests to comply with special dietary constraints into preparation
  • Ensuring proper equipment operation, safety, and sanitation in the kitchen
  • Complying with food hygiene regulations in accordance with Food Safety Act

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years' cooking and baking experience in a similar or hotel/institutional environment
  • Minimum 2 years' in remote camp industry
  • Proven experience preparing baked goods for large number of guests
  • SafeCheck advanced food safety certification required
  • Ideal qualifications include Food Safe, First Aid, and WHMIS
  • Ability and desire to work independently with minimal supervision, and as a team player
  • Prior supervisory experience considered an asset
