Job Title: School Custodian

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented School Custodian to join our team at Prairie South School Division No. 210.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment for students, staff, and visitors. This includes sweeping, mopping, and waxing floors, operating industrial vacuum cleaners, and performing minor repairs to heating, cooling, and electrical systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Sweep, mop, and wax floors to maintain a clean and safe environment
• Operate industrial vacuum cleaners to remove debris and dirt
• Empty trash cans and other waste containers
• Perform minor repairs to heating, cooling, and electrical systems
• Conduct safety and security checks
• Move heavy furniture and equipment
• Water and tend to plants, lawns, and gardens
• Clean and disinfect bathrooms and fixtures
• Clean snow and ice from walkways and parking areas

Requirements:

• 1-6 months of experience in a related field
• No degree, certificate, or diploma required
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Dependability, flexibility, and initiative
