We are seeking a skilled Building Cleaner to join our team at 633962 Alberta Ltd. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our premises.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cleaning and Maintenance: Sweep, mop, wash and polish floors, dust furniture, vacuum carpeting, area rugs, draperies and upholstered furniture, and wash windows, walls and ceilings.
  • Lost and Found: Handle and report lost and found items.
  • Debris and Trash: Pick up debris and empty trash containers.
Support for Newcomers and Refugees

We are committed to creating a welcoming work environment for newcomers and refugees. As a Building Cleaner, you will play a vital role in supporting their immediate settlement needs and social and labour market integration.

  • Settlement Support: Assist with housing, transportation, storage, childcare, and winter clothing needs.
  • Social and Labour Market Integration: Facilitate access to community resources, language training, and skills training.
  • Mentorship and Diversity Training: Offer mentorship programs and provide diversity and cross-cultural trainings to create a welcoming work environment.
Support for Indigenous People

We are dedicated to creating a welcoming work environment for Indigenous workers. As a Building Cleaner, you will develop and maintain relationships with Indigenous communities and provide cultural competency training to all employees.

  • Cultural Competency: Develop and maintain relationships with Indigenous communities and provide cultural competency training.
  • Elder Support: Facilitate access to Elders who can offer support and guidance to Indigenous workers.

Work Environment: 32 hours per week, English language, and a permanent work term.
