Mechanic - School Bus Maintenance

About the Position
As a Licensed Mechanic with First Student Canada-Transco, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and reliability of our school buses.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on school buses to ensure vehicle readiness and safety.
- Diagnose and repair complex vehicle and equipment issues, including brakes, suspensions, drivetrains, and transmissions.
- Conduct safety inspections and annual MTO maintenance inspections to ensure compliance with regulations.
- Assist with mobile emergency services and provide support to other maintenance personnel as needed.
Requirements:
- Valid driver's license required.
- Holds a T license.
- Possess a mechanic's tool set.
- Willingness to participate in ASE certification program.
Benefits:
- $40 per hour based on experience and qualifications.
- An additional $.25 per hour for each ASE certification.
