Job Title: Heavy Equipment Operator

Blue Ridge Excavating is seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for operating a variety of heavy construction equipment, including excavators, skid steers, loaders, dozers, and compactors.

Responsibilities:
  • Operate heavy equipment in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to all safety guidelines and regulations.
  • Assist with the loading and unloading of equipment for transportation, ensuring proper securement and maintenance.
  • Perform routine maintenance and lubrication tasks on assigned trucks and trailers.
  • Conduct job site inspections to identify and control potential hazards, maintaining a clean and safe worksite at all times.
  • Collaborate with the site Foreman to complete work at site as per site-specific drawings and documents.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in excavating and backfilling of residential projects.
  • Valid driver's license, with a clean driving record and a minimum of 5 years of driving experience.
  • Knowledge and adherence to all safety regulations and procedures.
  • Ability to perform routine maintenance on heavy equipment.
  • Strong team player with excellent communication skills.
