Overview
Brightshores seeks a highly skilled Registered Practical Nurse to join its Medicine department at the Owen Sound site. As an integral member of the inter-disciplinary team, you will provide exceptional patient care to those with stable and predictable outcomes within your defined scope of practice.
Salary and Benefits
The successful candidate can expect a competitive salary range of $34,943 - $35,967. In addition to a comprehensive compensation package, you will have access to ongoing education and professional development opportunities, enabling you to excel in your role.
Job Responsibilities
In this role, you will work closely with the Manager of Medicine to deliver high-quality patient care. Your duties will include:
- Providing expert nursing care to patients with stable and predictable outcomes;
- Collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure seamless patient care;
- Maintaining accurate records and contributing to quality improvement initiatives;
- Fostering a safe and respectful work environment.
Required Qualifications and Skills
To be successful in this role, you must possess:
- A valid Ontario College of Nurses registration;
- The ability to work at full scope of practice;
- Coronary Care 1 Course certification or willingness to obtain within six months of hire;
- Two years of recent acute care nursing experience;
- Excellent organizational, patient assessment, communication, and collaboration skills;
- A commitment to ongoing education and professional development;
- A strong focus on patient safety and adherence to Brightshores' 'CARE' Behaviours and 'LEAD' Competencies.
