About True North Sports Camps
True North Sports Camps is a leading provider of year-round sports programming for children. Our camps offer a range of programs for boys and girls aged 2-14, focusing on baseball, flag football, basketball, soccer, and multi-sport activities. With a focus on safety, teamwork, and skill development, we strive to create lifelong memories for our participants.
Key Accountabilities
* Assist the Program Director with planning, organization, and implementation of daily camp programming;
* Foster a fun, inclusive, and safe environment for all campers and staff;
* Manage camper check-in and check-out, as well as interact with parents throughout the day;
* Provide care and comfort to upset, distraught, or homesick campers;
* Administer first aid to campers and coaches as needed;
* Keep diligent records of all incidents at camp;
* Participate in regular meetings with the Program Director and other leadership staff;
Qualifications
We are looking for someone who possesses strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to provide exceptional customer service. You should also have experience playing and coaching, or working with children in a teacher or supervisory role. Strong organizational skills and the ability to adapt are essential, as well as the flexibility to meet occasional evenings and weekends with the Camp Leadership Team during the summer season.
Avoiding duplication: This position does not require any specific certifications, but Assistant Directors will be required to become certified for Standard First Aid and CPR C if they do not already possess these certifications.
