Job Title: Senior Cyber Security Architect

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Cyber Security Architect to join our team at Maarut Inc. As a key member of our security team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing robust cyber security frameworks to protect our organization's assets.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement cyber security frameworks based on industry standards such as NIST Cybersecurity Framework (CSF) v2 and CIS Controls v8.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with enterprise risk management practices and overall organization goals.
  • Provide subject matter expertise and guidance on cyber security and online privacy policies, standards, and guidelines.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging cyber threats and technologies, and recommend strategies to mitigate risks.
  • Present to various stakeholders to seek feedback and ensure effective communication of security initiatives.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience in cyber security, with a focus on framework development and implementation.
  • Proven track record of integrating and implementing cyber security frameworks and controls into an organization's enterprise risk management practice.
  • Experience with capability maturity models such as Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) and Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) is desirable.
  • Security certification is mandatory (CISSP or CISM).
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience working with large public sector environments, preferably with K-12 school boards.
  • Experience with the adoption of privacy frameworks such as the NIST Privacy Framework v1.1 and ISO/IEC 27701 is highly desirable.
  • Excellent knowledge of applicable legislation such as Municipal Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (MFIPPA).
