Sony Pictures Imageworks is a leading visual effects company that creates stunning 3D models for film and television productions.

We are seeking a skilled 3D Modeler to join our team and contribute to the creation of high-quality 3D models for our projects.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of 3D modeling software, including Maya and Mudbox, and be able to create detailed and realistic models for a variety of applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Creates and builds computer-generated 3D models for assigned story elements and designs.
  • Prepares and builds models for characters and stand-ins for layout.
  • Develops prop elements for effects.
  • Creates environmental sets and structures.
  • May focus on developing technical drawings for model productions.

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of applicable software packages, including Maya, Mudbox, and scripting ability in relevant languages.
  • Most desired 2-year diploma or 1-year certificate, however, minimal requirement of 2-3 years of relevant experience may be accepted.

Benefits:

  • Anticipated base salary for an Associate position is $26.44 to $36.32/hr and for an Intermediate position is $32.02 to $43.99/hr.
  • Benefits include healthcare, tuition reimbursement, RRSP's, Sick and Vacation leave, standard increases as applicable.
