Job Title: Game Design Director

Electronic Arts is seeking a highly skilled Game Design Director to lead the vision and design of enemy characters and related game systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in game development, with experience in designing engaging combat experiences.

Responsibilities:
  • Drive the vision and design of enemy characters and related game systems
  • Oversee and coordinate AI work
  • Manage a small team of AI designers
  • Collaborate with other designers to ensure a cohesive combat experience
  • Communicate design to the team through written documents
  • Prototype, implement, and maintain features using Unreal Engine 5
  • Collaborate across disciplines to develop features and ensure a top-tier player experience
  • Review the game against design goals and identify areas for improvement
Qualifications:
  • 7+ years of experience in game development
  • Design credits on a title with major enemy AI, combat systems, or boss design
  • Experience working with game engines to implement designs
  • Knowledge of recent titles and trends in action games
  • Experience leading or managing a team a plus
