About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior DevSecOps Engineer to join our team at Sleep Country. As a key member of our Corporate team, you will play a critical role in shaping our DevOps and security efforts.

Key Responsibilities
  • DevOps and Security Leadership: Provide strategic guidance and leadership on DevOps and security initiatives, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives.
  • Cloud Security and Compliance: Develop and implement robust security practices for cloud and hybrid systems, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
  • Incident Response and Management: Lead and participate in incident response activities, including investigation, mitigation, and recovery processes.
  • Stakeholder Engagement and Collaboration: Collaborate with IT, development, and business teams to integrate DevSecOps considerations into technology and business initiatives.
  • Cloud and API Security: Design and implement secure API development, deployment, and lifecycle management, ensuring the security and integrity of our cloud-based applications and services.
  • Monitoring and Alerting: Mature our monitoring and alerting platforms, ensuring operability, security, and compliance of our cloud-based applications and services.
  • Team Collaboration and Development: Assist application teams with on-boarding to adopted DevSecOps tools and technologies, working with vendors to troubleshoot platform and integration issues.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field, or equivalent education-related experience.
  • Experience: A minimum of seven years of experience in DevSecOps, with at least three years focused on cloud operations, security, and cloud management.
  • Skills: Proven track record of working with teams on multi-tiered, complex distributed web applications; proficiency in working with CI/CD tools; familiarity with project management tools; experience with enterprise monitoring/alerting tools; practical experience with infrastructure as code tools; understanding of Test or Behavior Driven Development; familiarity with Agile, SAFe, and DevSecOps methodologies.
  • Key Technologies: Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, Oracle Retail Cloud, Oracle Retail Merchandising; Google Cloud Platform and Apigee; Java SpringBoot or similar build and test tools; Jira Software Management, Confluence; Dynatrace Performance Monitoring and PagerDuty Operations for incident response; hands-on experience with Git, GitLab/GitHub/CloudBuild, Kubernetes deployment, Terraform, and other Agile CI/CD tools.
