As a Kinesiologist, you will play a vital role in promoting clients' healing and improving recovery time. Our team is passionate about helping individuals achieve optimal health and wellness, and we're seeking a like-minded professional to join our dynamic out-patient clinic.

About the Role

As a Kinesiologist, you will have the opportunity to work collaboratively with a team of clinicians, providing exposure to complex occupational rehab cases. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Performing biomechanical, fitness, and functional assessments under the mentorship and direction of a physiotherapist
  • Designing, implementing, and supervising graded exercise, work conditioning, and/or work hardening programs
  • Performing biweekly reassessment of client progress through functional testing
  • Recording functional and subjective findings in client charts on a regular basis
  • Working cooperatively with clients to set and achieve functional goals
  • Conducting group orientation and education lectures and regular one-on-one education to clients
  • Completing functional components of reports for initial, progress, and discharge
  • Ensuring return to work plans with client and employer have been made and documented in the client chart

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A graduate degree in Kinesiology
  • 2+ years of experience in a related field (considered an asset)
  • Registration with the appropriate Provincial governing body for Kinesiologists
