Overview

Sanctuary AI is a world leader in developing AI-based control systems for humanoid robots. We are seeking a skilled and motivated Controls Engineering co-op to join our multidisciplinary team of engineers.


Job Description
  • Develop and implement cutting-edge control systems for robotic hands using MATLAB/Simulink, C++, and Python.
  • Integrate software solutions with physical hardware in robotic systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and test control systems.
  • Contribute to project documentation and management using tools like Confluence and Jira.
  • Evaluate the robustness and reliability of control systems through iterative testing and optimization.

Requirements
  • Pursuing a Master's or PhD in Robotics or a related field (Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, etc.).
  • Experience developing software for robotic systems on physical hardware.

Key Skills
  • Strong experience with MATLAB/Simulink for controller development.
  • Proficiency in C++ and Python programming.
  • Familiarity with machine learning techniques (e.g., Reinforcement Learning, Imitation Learning, Behavior Cloning).
  • Knowledge of multibody rigid body dynamics and robot control.
  • Experience with kinematics and dynamics libraries for robotics (e.g., Pinocchio, Drake, MuJoCo).
