Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Physiotherapy Assistant to join our team at Arvan Rehab Group. As a Physiotherapy Assistant, you will work under the direct supervision of a Physiotherapist to provide high-quality care to residents in a Long Term Care setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with conducting group exercises and leading one-on-one exercises with residents as directed by the Physiotherapist.
  • Encourage residents to reach their treatment goals and document progress after each therapy session.
  • Monitor residents' health status and report any changes to the Physiotherapist or supervisor.
  • Perform treatments such as applying ice packs, hot packs, and electrotherapy as directed by the Physiotherapist.
Requirements
  • Graduate of a Physiotherapy Assistant program or equivalent.
  • Excellent communication and multi-tasking skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience working in a Long Term Care or Retirement home is an asset.
  • A current police check for the Vulnerable Sector and a valid TB Test are required.
