About the Role

Ontario Inc is seeking an experienced Strategic Business Investment Officer to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a vital role in promoting industrial and commercial business investment in rural and urban areas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement policies that support business growth and development;
  • Administer programs to promote industrial and commercial business investment;
  • Plan and execute development projects to drive economic growth;
  • Provide expert advice on procedures and requirements for government approval of development proposals;
  • Conduct market research and analyze data to inform business decisions;
  • Develop social and economic profiles of areas to encourage investment;
  • Design and conduct research projects to evaluate the feasibility of business ideas;
  • Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations to stakeholders;
  • Review and evaluate commercial or industrial development proposals;
  • Develop and maintain a portfolio of marketing materials;
  • Deliver presentations at conferences and workshops to promote business opportunities;
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement business plans;
About You

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced professional with a strong background in business development and investment promotion. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g. business administration, economics, marketing);
  • At least 2 years of experience in business development or a related field;
  • Strong knowledge of MS Excel, MS Office, and other business software applications;
  • Basic security clearance;
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines;
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills;
  • Flexible and able to adapt to changing priorities;
  • Team player with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
