Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical mentorship and support to nursing staff, focusing on best practices and evidence-based care.
  • Develop and implement education programs to enhance nursing skills and knowledge.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to promote a culture of safety and quality care.
  • Conduct regular evaluations and provide constructive feedback to nursing staff.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest clinical practices and research, and apply this knowledge to improve patient outcomes.
Requirements
  • Current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse or Registered Psychiatric Nurse with the BC College of Nurses and Midwives.
  • Three (3) years recent, related nursing experience in the designated clinical practice area, including experience mentoring nursing staff.
  • Leadership training or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Valid BC Driver's License and access to a personal vehicle may be required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Demonstrated ability to provide consultation, direction, and leadership.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of nursing theory and practice within a client/family-centered model of care.
  • Demonstrated ability to teach, demonstrate, facilitate, mentor, and coach.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of adult learning principles.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and in collaboration with others.
