We are seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer to join our team at Onico Solutions. As a key member of our development team, you will play a crucial role in designing and implementing innovative software solutions that drive business growth and success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop high-quality, efficient code across various projects, ensuring scalability and reliability.
  • Contribute to the growth of industry-leading technologies and systems, staying up-to-date with the latest advancements and trends.
  • Mentor and be mentored, upholding the highest standards for rigorously tested code and promoting a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
  • Effectively communicate complex ideas and concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, thriving in a fast-paced Agile environment.
  • Drive technical vision and milestones, collaborating with leadership to define and implement strategic technical initiatives.
  • Develop and ensure software design patterns and operational guidelines, ensuring consistency and best practices across the organization.
  • Employ a technology-agnostic and pragmatic engineering approach, focusing on problem-solving and delivering solutions that meet business needs.
  • Take ownership of critical production applications, preparing them for scale to accommodate our rapid growth and expansion.

Requirements:

  • Preferred 6+ years of experience in software development, with a strong background in full-stack development and an emphasis on backend technologies.
  • Experience with Machine Learning, API, and AI is highly desirable, as is familiarity with creating and building automated pipelines in Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, and CircleCI.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of the latest technology innovations and a passion for learning new technologies, with a strong focus on object-oriented programming (OOP) and software design patterns.
  • Additional technology experience, such as Go (Golang) and C++, is a plus.

What We Offer:

  • A competitive annual salary of $110,000.00 – $120,000.00, plus benefits.
  • A hybrid work arrangement, with a permanent position located in downtown Toronto.
