About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Framing Carpenter to join our team at Manpreet Framing Ltd. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful completion of framing projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Planning: Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine work requirements and develop project plans.
  • Site Preparation: Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials to build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems.
  • Installation and Finishing: Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware to ensure a high-quality finish.
  • Site Management: Schedule and coordinate work on sites, supervise other workers, and maintain a safe and efficient work environment.
  • Maintenance and Repair: Maintain, repair, and renovate residences and wooden structures in various settings, including commercial and residential buildings.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
  • Work Setting: Various locations, including commercial and residential settings.
  • Physical Capabilities: Ability to handle heavy loads, work in physically demanding environments, and maintain a large workload.
  • Personal Suitability: Team player with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Working Conditions
  • Work Hours: 32 to 40 hours per week.
  • Language: English.
