We are a dynamic and innovative company, Alpart, seeking a highly skilled Truss Design Engineer to join our team in Stouffville or Barrie office. Our ideal candidate will possess excellent technical skills, strong problem-solving abilities, and outstanding communication skills.
**Job Description**
As a Truss Design Engineer, you will be responsible for creating accurate engineering and cut-ready roof layouts for residential and commercial buildings using digital drawings and 3D drafting software. You will work closely with architects, engineers, and sales teams to ensure timely completion of projects.
**Responsibilities and Duties**
- Create accurate and detailed truss layout designs using MiTek SAPPHIRE software.
- Develop structural component designs for engineers to seal and production to manufacture, optimized to Alpa Roof Trusses standards.
- Communicate effectively with various departments to coordinate projects and provide training to junior designers.
- Interpret construction plans, builder communications, and apply this information to quote and production files.
- Perform other duties as required.
**Requirements and Qualifications**
- 4 years of Ontario truss design experience.
- Prior experience with MiTek SAPPHIRE and Management software is an asset.
- Advanced knowledge of Ontario Building Code and TPIC is required.
- Detailed and accurate working style, exceptional organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with excellent professional work ethic.
- Must have a positive attitude and be a team player to support the team with demands and deadlines.
