Our team is responsible for digital instrumentation and control equipment for projects involving control, monitoring, and operator displays in the nuclear island for our existing domestic and international customers and new builds.
Your Role Within the Team
As a Senior Digital Instrumentation and Control System Engineer, you will be part of our Computer Systems Engineering department. Your duties will include:
- Performing conceptual and preliminary design of safety, control, and monitoring computer systems to define system requirements, computer architecture, product/tool technologies, and evaluating system performance and reliability.
- Evaluating digital I&C system products and preparing processes and procedures for implementing such products into the computer software design, development, and V&V processes.
- Executing software engineering tasks including software requirements specification, software design descriptions, coding, verification, testing, and documentation.
- Developing software and scripts using various programming languages/toolsets/environments including IEC 61131-3 languages, C, C++, Varian/SSCI-890 Assembler, Fortran, Pascal, Visual Studio, LabView, XML, and Photon.
- Preparing requirements and developing tools for test/development systems as needed for the production of safety-critical software.
- Developing cyber security processes and documentation related to project activities (procurement, design, etc.), and identifying vulnerabilities/controls for specific end-devices. Cyber security activities may require supplemental security clearances.
