Claims Coordinator Job Description

At Charger Logistics Inc, we are seeking a highly skilled Claims Coordinator to join our team. As a Claims Coordinator, you will play a critical role in providing claim handling services and support to our drivers, as well as working closely with our safety department to ensure that our assets are recovered and returned to service as quickly as possible.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Investigate and negotiate claims related to physical damage, liability, and workers' compensation.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with body shops, towing companies, and other vendors to ensure accurate costs and efficient claim resolution.
  • Communicate with drivers, safety personnel, and insurance companies to ensure timely and effective claim handling.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of claims, including files for litigation, subrogation, and physical damage.
  • Report claims and accidents as necessary, and provide updates to stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Associate's degree in a relevant field, or 2 years of experience in trucking, claims, or safety and compliance.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Outlook and Excel.
  • Previous experience in commercial trucking industry.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, with ability to communicate effectively with drivers, safety personnel, and insurance companies.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
