Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Research Technician - Technology Development to join our team at Carbon Engineering. This is a full-time, onsite position based in Squamish, BC.
Key Responsibilities- Operate and maintain test equipment at the lab, bench, and pilot scale, ensuring proper functioning and troubleshooting issues.
- Perform regular maintenance tasks, including upkeep of day-to-day operations of the R&D facilities.
- Contribute to general housekeeping activities, maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
- Ensure facility organization is maintained to ensure smooth operations and enhance productivity.
- Relevant technical certification from a postsecondary institute.
- 2+ years of experience in an industrial or laboratory setting.
- Knowledge of safe industrial work practices.
- Mechanical experience with basic hand and power tools.
- Forklift and aerial lift experience and training desirable.
- LOTO experience desirable.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, agile business and R&D environment.
- Collaboration skills, including comfort working in the cross-functional interface between technical, business, and administrative teams.
- High level of independence and self-motivation, with the ability to come to the table ready with solutions.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to think critically and strategically.
- Demonstrated excellence in technical writing.
