Job Title: Hardwood Floor Covering Installer

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Hardwood Floor Covering Installer to join our team at 14199073 Canada Inc.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for installing hardwood floors, resilient floor coverings, and other types of flooring in commercial and residential settings. This is a physically demanding role that requires strong hand-eye coordination, ability to lift heavy loads, and excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Inspect and measure surfaces to be covered
  • Read blueprints and specifications to determine work requirements
  • Measure, cut, and fasten underlay and underpadding
  • Prepare flooring plans and scheduling
  • Install carpeting on floors, walls, and other surfaces
  • Conduct moisture, pH, temperature, and other tests prior to flooring installations
  • Estimate costs and materials
  • Remove existing floor coverings and contaminants
  • Perform direct glue-down carpet installations and double-bond carpet installations
  • Install outdoor carpets, resilient stair components, and materials on counter tops and raised platforms
  • Install vinyl decking materials
Requirements:
  • College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years
  • Valid driver's license and own transportation
  • Basic security clearance
  • Physically demanding role requiring ability to lift heavy loads, bend, crouch, and kneel
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination and communication skills
Work Environment:

This is a permanent position with 35 hours of work per week. The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment with a focus on client satisfaction and quality workmanship.

Language:

The primary language of work is English.
