Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Nurse Practitioner to join our interdisciplinary team at the Peterborough 360 Degree NPLC. As a key member of our primary care team, you will provide high-quality, full-scope professional care to patients, working from a harm reduction philosophy and a trauma-informed, strengths-based, anti-oppressive lens.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to organizational activities that support the achievement of our Mission, Vision, and Strategic Plan
  • Provide comprehensive, collaborative primary care and services, working within the full scope of practice as defined by the College of Nurses of Ontario
  • Participate in 360NPLC programs/projects, including routine primary care, home visits, outreach, substance use support and treatment, and more
  • Advocate for patients with colleagues, agencies, and institutions, addressing stigma and reducing barriers to health and social care access
  • Supervise and evaluate students, maintain professional development through continuing education, and assure standards of patient care are maintained
Requirements
  • Registration in the RN, Extended Class in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario
  • Minimum 2 years of primary care experience working in community-based health care settings
  • Demonstrated strong primary care clinical assessment skills to full NP scope of practice
  • Exemplary oral and written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience working with vulnerable populations, including people who are homeless, living on low income, newcomer, refugees, trans individuals, and more
