Job Summary

We are seeking a Waste Management Specialist to join our team at Be-IT Ltd. This is a full-time position responsible for conducting inspections, enforcing by-laws, and ensuring compliance with waste collection contracts.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Conduct on-road contract supervision of waste, recycling, and organics collections to ensure compliance with County requirements.
  2. Monitor the discharge and auditing of collected materials at public and private waste facilities to guarantee adherence to contract specifications.
  3. Liaise with waste facility staff, route supervisors, and contractor management to ensure compliance with County regulations.
  4. Respond to, resolve, and follow-up with stakeholders' concerns regarding waste collection services.
  5. Organize, participate in, or monitor audits of County waste material to determine participation and waste composition.
  6. Exhibit excellent communication and problem-solving skills to effectively address complex issues.
Requirements
  • College diploma or University degree in a related field, such as environmental science or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of waste management practices, including solid waste, organics, recycling, and special collections.
  • A valid G class driver's license in good standing.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to work occasional evenings and Saturdays as required.
Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary range for this position is $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience. Additionally, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement savings plan, and paid time off.
