Waste Management Specialist

We are seeking a Waste Management Specialist to join our team at Be-IT Ltd. This is a full-time position responsible for conducting inspections, enforcing by-laws, and ensuring compliance with waste collection contracts.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct on-road contract supervision of waste, recycling, and organics collections to ensure compliance with County requirements.
- Monitor the discharge and auditing of collected materials at public and private waste facilities to guarantee adherence to contract specifications.
- Liaise with waste facility staff, route supervisors, and contractor management to ensure compliance with County regulations.
- Respond to, resolve, and follow-up with stakeholders' concerns regarding waste collection services.
- Organize, participate in, or monitor audits of County waste material to determine participation and waste composition.
- Exhibit excellent communication and problem-solving skills to effectively address complex issues.
- College diploma or University degree in a related field, such as environmental science or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of waste management practices, including solid waste, organics, recycling, and special collections.
- A valid G class driver's license in good standing.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work occasional evenings and Saturdays as required.
The estimated salary range for this position is $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience. Additionally, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement savings plan, and paid time off.
