About The Mexican Corner Restaurant

The Mexican Corner Restaurant is a dynamic and fast-paced environment that requires highly skilled and experienced sous chefs to lead our kitchen team. We are seeking an accomplished Head Chef Assistant who can work in collaboration with the head chef to prepare, cook, and present exceptional dishes to our customers.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Demonstrate new cooking techniques and equipment to kitchen staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
  • Prepare and cook food regularly or for special guests/functions, showcasing creativity and flair.
  • Plan and direct food preparation and cooking activities across multiple restaurants, ensuring seamless execution and high-quality results.
  • Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food, promoting a safe and healthy working environment.
  • Supervise kitchen staff and helpers, providing guidance and support to ensure effective teamwork and productivity.
Requirements and Qualifications:
  • No degree, certificate, or diploma required; relevant experience and skills are essential.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a sous chef or equivalent position.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively under pressure.
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills, with the capacity to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
Compensation Package:

We offer a competitive salary of $60,000 - $80,000 per annum, commensurate with experience. In addition to a comprehensive compensation package, we provide opportunities for professional growth and development within a dynamic and supportive team environment.
