About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Butcher Assistant to join our team at UK Corner Market Inc. as a Meat Processing Specialist. As a key member of our meat department, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of meat products for our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Clean and Prepare Meats: Clean meats to prepare for processing or cutting, and ensure they meet our high standards.
  • Cut and Trim Meats: Cut, trim, and prepare standard cuts of meat for sale.
  • Wrap and Package Meats: Wrap and package prepared meats for display and sale.
  • Remove Bones and Weigh Meats: Remove bones from meat and weigh meats for sale.
  • Price Meat Products: Price meat products accurately and efficiently.
  • Clean and Prepare Fish and Shellfish: Clean and prepare fish and shellfish for sale.
  • Supervise and Train: Supervise other butchers, meat cutters, and fishmongers, and train meat cutters to ensure they meet our standards.
  • Slice Cooked Meats: Slice cooked meats for display and sale.
  • Shape and Package Meats: Shape, lace, and tie roasts, other meats, poultry, and seafood for display and sale.
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities
  • Attention to Detail: Maintain attention to detail to ensure high-quality products.
  • Physically Demanding: Work in a physically demanding environment, requiring manual dexterity and stamina.

Requirements
