Job Summary

The Avon Maitland District School Board is seeking highly qualified Elementary Education Specialists to fill in for daily absences of certified classroom teachers. As an Emergency Teacher, you will have the opportunity to work in a variety of schools and locations throughout Perth and Huron counties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide instruction and support to students in grades K-8
  • Develop and implement lesson plans to meet the needs of diverse learners
  • Collaborate with certified teachers and other education professionals to ensure a smooth and effective learning environment
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to ensure a positive and productive school experience
Requirements
  • Currently registered in a Bachelor of Education program leading to certification or awaiting certification by the Ontario College of Teachers
  • Proficiency in oral and written English
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and adapt to changing circumstances
