Palliative Care Registered Practical Nurse (RPN/LPN) Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Practical Nurse (RPN/LPN) to join our palliative care team in Ottawa and surrounding areas. As a Palliative Care Registered Practical Nurse (RPN/LPN), you will provide high-quality care to patients in their homes, focusing on their physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide client care by utilizing observation, assessment, nursing diagnosis, counseling, and health teaching skills.
  • Establish and monitor nursing care plans in accordance with internal and external professional practice standards.
  • Support and direct unlicensed/unregistered employees involved in direct client care.
  • Perform routine nursing duties in accordance with company policies and procedures and Standards of Nursing Practice.
  • Participate in ongoing internal and/or external continuing education activities.
Requirements:
  • Current nursing license in good standing with Colleges of Nurses of Ontario.
  • Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing.
  • Proof of a current Negative TB test (within the last year).
  • Valid Driver's License (G Class) and continuous access to a vehicle at all times.
  • Availability to work 8-hour shifts 23:00 to 07:00.
  • Current/clear vulnerable sector check (within the last six months).
  • Excellent assessment, documentation, verbal, and communication skills.
