Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Store Operations Manager to join our team at the Fresh Food Centre.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our store, ensuring that all aspects of retail management are executed efficiently and effectively.

Main Responsibilities
  • Supervise Staff: Direct and motivate a team of sales staff, apprentices, and designers to achieve exceptional customer service and sales results.
  • Assign Duties: Effectively allocate tasks and responsibilities to maximize productivity and efficiency.
  • Hiring and Training: Recruit, train, and develop new staff members to ensure they have the necessary skills to succeed in their roles.
  • Authorizations: Approve payments by cheque and return of merchandise, ensuring accurate financial records and customer satisfaction.
  • Scheduling: Create and manage work schedules to meet business needs and employee requirements.
  • Reporting: Prepare detailed reports on sales performance, merchandising, and personnel matters to inform strategic decisions.
  • Issue Resolution: Address customer complaints, supply shortages, and other issues promptly and professionally.
  • Inventory Management: Oversee inventory levels, organization, and maintenance to prevent stockouts and excess inventory.
  • Payroll Administration: Manage payroll processes, including record-keeping and compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Performance Reviews: Conduct regular performance reviews to evaluate employee progress and provide constructive feedback.
Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a supervisory or leadership position.
  • A non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year, such as a college or CEGEP education.
Work Environment

This is a permanent full-time position, working approximately 35 hours per week. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this role is around $45,000 - $55,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
