Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Welder Helper to join our team at JEAPT WELDING INC. The successful candidate will assist our experienced welders in the fabrication of metal products, ensuring high-quality results and efficient production processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate metal cleaning equipment to remove excess welds, rust, scale, and other materials from metal product surfaces.
  • Immerse metal products in cleaning solutions to prepare them for further processing.
  • Assist structural steel and platework fitters, sheet metal workers, metal machine operators, or other metal workers in their tasks.
  • Sort and organize metal sheets and parts, scrap metal, and other materials to maintain a safe and efficient work environment.
  • Grind or chip excess metal from metal products using hand tools to ensure precise and accurate results.
  • Clean machines and work areas to maintain a clean and organized workspace.
  • Load and unload vehicles to facilitate the transportation of materials and products.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
  • The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment with repetitive tasks and physically demanding conditions.
  • Manual dexterity and attention to detail are essential for this role.
  • The candidate will be required to stand for extended periods and handle heavy loads as part of their duties.
Personal Qualities and Experience
  • The ideal candidate will possess dependability, excellent oral communication skills, and be a team player with flexibility and reliability.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field is preferred.
