Marine Industry Inspector

We are seeking a highly skilled Marine Surveyor to join our team at Control Union Canada Inc. as part of our efforts to maintain the highest standards in marine industry inspections.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting and evaluating material and equipment for compliance with industry standards, preparing draft investigative reports of findings, and writing technical reports. You will also be required to sample products, perform tests, and record data, as well as receive, analyze, and verify copy for accuracy.
Our ideal candidate has a strong background in marine surveying, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines. You should have a valid driver's licence, be willing to travel, and have a combination of sitting, standing, and walking abilities.
Key Responsibilities- Inspect and evaluate material and equipment for compliance to industry standards
- Prepare draft investigative reports of findings
- Write technical reports
- Sample products, perform tests, and record data
- Receive, analyze, and verify copy for accuracy
To be considered for this role, you must have:
- A strong background in marine surveying
- Excellent analytical skills
- Ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines
- A valid driver's licence
- Willingness to travel

We offer a competitive salary of CAD $65,000 per year, plus benefits including dental plan, health care plan, and vision care benefits. Mileage is paid, and we have a Registered Retirement Savings Plan (RRSP) available. This is a temporary full-time position, working 40 hours per week.
