About the Opportunity

We are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our team at Glencore Sudbury Integrated Nickel Operations in Greater Sudbury, Ontario.

The position will be based in Falconbridge, and work location is not accessible by public transportation.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Reporting to the Engineering Leader, the successful candidate will be responsible for developing and approving engineering documents, project management for new and existing processes and systems, troubleshooting and maintenance support.
  • Responsibilities may include power distribution, protection and control, PLC and DCS based control systems, systems and software development, and other technical requirements as needed.
  • Experience in procurement, contract, and construction management would be an asset.

About You

Your personal commitment to health, safety, training, and continuous improvement will be crucial to your success in this role.

Requirements

  • The ideal candidate must have project management, design, and construction experience and be eligible or registered with the Professional Engineers of Ontario.
  • A background in mining, mineral processing, or a heavy industrial setting with at least 10-15 years of experience would be highly desirable.
  • The incumbent will promote a constructive climate in the workplace by achieving objectives in terms of health and safety, quality control, and customer satisfaction.
