Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Truck and Transport Technician to join our team at Brandt. This role involves the repair and maintenance of truck and trailer-based equipment and attachments in a field environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate the working condition of equipment, diagnose issues, and perform repairs on the road.
  • Use secondary materials and equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Operate related instruments, hand and power tools, and computer systems.
  • Accurately document work orders, including machine information, actions taken, and time spent.
  • Ensure work is performed safely and to accepted standards.
  • Use computer applications to document maintenance, inspection, and diagnosis.
  • Locate and order parts from parts personnel.
  • Road test equipment and check attachment operation as required.
Requirements
  • Certified Journeyperson in the Truck and Transport technician trade or equivalent designated trade.
  • Experience with CAT, CUMMINs, and PACCAR engines is considered an asset.
  • Experience with electrical diagnosis/troubleshooting and aftertreatment systems is considered an asset.
  • Previous mechanical experience in a shop environment is considered an asset.
  • Must be registered in the 310T trade.
  • Commitment to customer service and service excellence.
  • Ability to communicate and work effectively with customers, the service team, and branch personnel.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
