About the Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Clinical Therapist to join our Adult Service team in Mental Health and Addictions at Nova Scotia Health and IWK Health. As a member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide assessment and planning, treatment and intervention, and crisis management for clients. Your expertise will be essential in delivering high-quality care and support to individuals with mental health and addiction issues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized care plans
  • Provide evidence-informed therapies, including individual and group sessions
  • Collaborate with families and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care
  • Develop and implement crisis intervention and suicide risk assessment strategies
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to a culture of excellence
Requirements
  • Master's degree in a clinical health-related discipline
  • Current registration with a relevant provincial regulatory body
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of standard criteria used for the classification and diagnosis of mental health disorders
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Competencies in other languages an asset
