About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced Financial Reporting Manager to join our Hedge Funds team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the preparation of financial reports and profit allocation statements, ensuring timely and accurate delivery to our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review financial reports and profit allocation statements, ensuring compliance with client deadlines and regulatory requirements.
- Act as liaison with clients on matters related to financial reporting, providing exceptional customer service and support.
- Ensure timely and accurate response to client inquiries, resolving any issues or concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
- Assist staff with their monthly work as needed, providing guidance and support to ensure successful completion of tasks.
- Act as liaison with external parties, including auditors and regulatory bodies, ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
- Ensure adherence to all internal and external standard procedures and best practices, maintaining the highest level of quality and integrity.
- Assist with new client on-boarding and new fund launches, ensuring successful completion and seamless integration into our systems.
- Review and recommend improvements to administrative and accounting procedures, driving efficiency and effectiveness in our NAV production process.
- Facilitate compliance with internal reporting requirements, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of reports to stakeholders.
- Participate in strategic departmental and corporate initiatives, contributing to the growth and development of our organization.
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Financial Reporting Manager with a strong background in accounting and finance. The ideal candidate will have:
- A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in hedge fund accounting or investment companies fund accounting.
- Nearly qualified or completed CA, CMA, CGA, CPA, or CFA designation (preferred).
- Strong working understanding of investment strategies and financial products, including derivatives.
- Experience in a reviewer capacity of deliverables and managing delivery for a team.
- Experience managing a team of 5+ people as their manager, supervisor, coach, mentor, etc.
- Able to demonstrate comfort working in an operations model where coordination and collaboration with various teams is required.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated financial reporting, analytical, and organizational skills.
- Strong Office and Outlook skill set, with a focus on Excel.
- Proven ability to work in a challenging and professional work environment.
