At North York General Hospital, we are committed to excellence in patient care. As a Resident Assistant in our Seniors' Health Centre, you will play a vital role in providing personal care to our residents. Your goal will be to assist nursing personnel in performing procedures and treatments, as well as supporting the activities of daily living for our residents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse and/or Registered Practical Nurse to provide personal care to residents
  • Communicate effectively with elderly people and colleagues
  • Cooperate as a member of a healthcare team
  • Have an interest in and the ability to work with the elderly

Requirements:

  • Completed Personal Support Worker (PSW) certificate from a College of Applied Arts and Technology
  • Long-term care experience, preferred
  • Skilled in Point of Care (POC), preferred
  • Bilingualism in French/English, an asset

As a Resident Assistant at North York General Hospital, you will be part of a dynamic team of healthcare providers, staff, and volunteers. This is a full-time regular position, 8 hours shifts, evening shifts, including weekends, in the Nursing and Personal Care Services, Seniors' Health Centre.
