Job Summary

CancerCare Manitoba is seeking a skilled Unit Clerk to join our team. As a Unit Clerk, you will play a vital role in ensuring the care and comfort of patients, as well as maintaining the routine cleanliness of the clinical environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform a variety of clerical tasks, including data entry, filing, and record-keeping
  • Provide supportive functions for patients and staff, including answering phones and responding to inquiries
  • Ensure the care and comfort of patients, including providing personal care and assisting with daily living activities
  • Maintain the routine cleanliness of the clinical environment, including cleaning and disinfecting equipment and surfaces
Requirements
  • Successful completion of a recognized Health Unit Clerk course
  • Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and electronic medical records
  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, such as pushing carts with patient charts
  • Satisfactory employment record, including a clean criminal record check
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience in an ambulatory clinic or in-patient care setting
  • Ability to speak French
