We are seeking a skilled and motivated Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team in Dartmouth, NS. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for inspecting, servicing, and maintaining a diverse fleet of construction equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Inspect and service a wide range of construction equipment, including earth-moving equipment, compaction equipment, and aerial equipment.
  • Perform preventative maintenance, diagnose equipment malfunctions, and make required repairs.
  • Test repaired equipment to ensure proper performance.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of inspections, maintenance, and work orders.
  • Adhere to all company Health and Safety Policies.
Requirements:
  • Red Seal Mechanic certification in heavy equipment or truck and transport.
  • Minimum 1-2 years of mechanical experience, preferably in construction equipment maintenance.
  • Valid Class 5 driver's license with a clean or satisfactory driver's abstract.
  • A complete set of tools or a willingness to build one.
  • Ability to work overtime as required.
  • Strong understanding of computer applications and diagnostic tools.
  • Knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic pumps, and motors.
  • Flexibility and ability to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and strong verbal and written communication skills.
