Job Title: Ultrasound Sonographer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Ultrasound Sonographer to join our team at Renfrew Victoria Hospital. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for performing ultrasound exams and providing excellent patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Perform high-quality ultrasound exams in accordance with hospital policies and procedures.
2. Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment, ensuring proper function and safety.
3. Assess patient requirements and adapt exam procedures as needed.
4. Communicate effectively with patients, radiologists, and other healthcare professionals.
5. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and maintain accurate records.

Requirements:

• Completion of an approved program in Medical Ultrasound and registration or registry eligibility with ARDMS or Sonography Canada.
• Registration with the CMRITO and good standing.
• CPR certification.
• Knowledge of computer systems and PACS.
• Knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and physiology.
• Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work within physical requirements (constant standing and walking, heavy lifting and positioning patients).
