About the Role

We are seeking a highly qualified Academic Lecturer to join our team at the University of Waterloo. As a key member of our faculty, you will be responsible for teaching and mentoring students, as well as contributing to the development of our academic programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teaching and Mentoring: Develop and deliver high-quality course materials, lectures, and assessments to students in one or more university subjects.
  • Student Advising: Provide guidance and support to students on course and academic matters, as well as career decisions.
  • Research and Scholarship: Engage in research and scholarly activities that contribute to the advancement of knowledge in your field.
  • Service and Community Engagement: Participate in departmental and institutional committees, as well as community outreach and engagement activities.
Requirements
  • Education: Earned doctorate degree in a relevant field.
  • Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in academia or a related field.
  • Language: Fluency in English.
  • Work Hours: 35 hours per week.
