Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and client-focused Senior Surveyor to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising the checking and testing of survey equipment and software prior to project mobilization. Additionally, they will coordinate the mobilization of survey equipment and software on vessels and ensure that all data is collected in accordance with 'good survey practice' and approved procedures.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supervising checking and testing of survey equipment and software
- Coordinating mobilisation of survey equipment and software
- Ensuring quality of data collection and accuracy of fieldwork
- Developing project procedures and assisting in project preparation
- Managing day-to-day field operations and fulfilling contractual requirements
Required Skills and Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a Post-Secondary Education in Hydrographic Survey or Geomatics degree or similar education. At least 5 years of experience as a Surveyor and key experience in acting Senior Surveyor or Senior Surveyor duties are required. Proficiency in Microsoft Packages - Word/Excel/PowerPoint and Document Control Systems is essential. Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, along with excellent communication, reading, and writing skills, are also necessary.
