Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled System Simulation and Integration Engineer to join our Energy Management and Aerothermal (EMAT) team at RGBSI.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement advanced simulation models for thermal management systems, including air-conditioning, engine, battery, and cabin cooling.
  • Design and develop controls algorithms for thermal systems, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Integrate system models with controllers, utilizing tools such as Amesim, Flowmaster, Kuli, AVL Cruise, and Matlab/Simulink.
  • Collaborate with system engineers to provide numerical solutions and suggest design improvements based on simulation results.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in using simulation tools for solving flow/thermal problems or applied CFD.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in controls development, implementation, and validation in Matlab and Simulink.
  • Master's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Aerospace Engineering with a thesis in Thermo-fluid/Controls simulation.
  • Strong fundamental knowledge in Fluid Mechanics, Thermodynamics, and Heat Transfer.
  • Good knowledge of automotive systems and components and their functioning.
  • Ability to work in cross-functional teams with a proactive approach.
  • Working knowledge of system bench/dynamometer testing and vehicle drive cell testing.
  • Self-motivated with attention to details.
Preferred Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience in vehicle/powertrain thermal management areas, including powertrain cooling, climate control, or thermal protection.
  • Experience in automotive HVAC, engine system design, and development.
  • Experience in simulation integration and algorithm validation via Model and Hardware in the loop (MiL/HiL) benches.
  • Expertise in advanced control algorithms, including classical and AI-based techniques.
  • Familiarity with CAD tools.
  • Familiarity with optimization and DoE methods.
  • Strong technical competence with demonstrated experience in methodology development.
  • Experience in controls modeling.
  • Co-simulation experience in D or D-D framework is preferred.
Other Requirements:
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, experienced in presenting to senior management.
  • Team player that can also work independently.
  • Good problem-solving ability.
  • Must be very proficient in use of Office software.
