Salary: $80,000 - $120,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
Job DescriptionThe successful candidate will be responsible for managing costs on Heavy Civil construction projects, ranging from $500,000 to $15,000,000 in value. This includes estimating and collaborating with senior project superintendents to ensure timely completion of projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review tender opportunities for public and private sector clients
- Analyze market conditions and trends to optimize bid strategy
- Prepare accurate quantity take-offs and cost estimates
- Solicit quotes from subcontractors and suppliers
- Collaborate with the estimating team to assemble bid packages
- Participate in pre-tender bid reviews and post-tender analysis
- Submit bid packages to clients prior to closing time
- Work with clients throughout the award process
- Develop comprehensive project schedules and track project costs
- Manage change orders and prepare progress billings
To be considered for this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications:
- CET, P.Tech, or P.Eng designation
- At least five years of experience in civil construction or engineering
- Familiarity with local market conditions
- Proficiency in on-screen take-off programs and Microsoft Excel, Word, and Project
