Nurse Practitioner

At RhynoCare, we are seeking skilled Registered Nurses to join our team in the Richmond-area. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in nursing and a passion for delivering exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Provide nursing care to residents in accordance with established policies, physician's orders, and the resident plan of care.
- Utilize sound nursing practice principles to ensure the delivery of excellent nursing and personal care in the assigned home area(s).
- Ensure timely and accessible admissions for residents, including a comprehensive orientation to the home and services offered.
- Ensure resident transfers and discharges are timely and safe.
- Oversee the supply, control, and safekeeping of drugs and narcotics, ensuring protocols are followed on all assigned shifts.
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care to meet the physical, psychological, emotional, spiritual, cultural, and social needs of residents.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN), Bachelor of Nursing (BN), or equivalent.
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives.
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.
- Basic computer proficiency.
- Valid First Aid and CPR Certificate.
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
- Deals with others in an effective, compassionate, and supportive manner.
- Respects each resident as an individual and is aware of their need for self-respect and privacy, and the right to share in decisions about their care.
- Knowledge of relevant Federal, Provincial, and Municipal statutes influencing the operation of the Nursing Home and nursing department.
- Medical Clearance, including TB tests.
- Vulnerable Sector Police Check and/or Adult Abuse Registry Check.
- Clear Criminal Record check.
All staff are required to provide proof of vaccination, adhere to COVID-19 prevention protocols, and wear a mask at all times.
