Job Title: Food Counter Attendant

About the Job:

We are currently seeking a highly motivated and skilled Food Counter Attendant to join our team at Tim Hortons.

Responsibilities:

  • Clear and clean tables, trays, and chairs to maintain a clean and welcoming environment for our customers.
  • Replenish condiments and other supplies at tables and serving areas to ensure our guests have a seamless dining experience.
  • Keep records of the quantities of food used to track inventory and minimize waste.
  • Package take-out food to meet our customers' dietary needs.
  • Portion and wrap food to ensure consistency and quality.
  • Prepare, heat, and finish simple food items to meet our menu standards.
  • Serve customers at counters or buffet tables with a smile.
  • Stock refrigerators and salad bars to maintain a fresh and well-stocked environment.
  • Take customers' orders to provide excellent customer service.
  • Use manual and electrical appliances to clean, peel, slice, and trim foodstuffs efficiently.
  • Handle and store cleaning products to maintain a safe and healthy working environment.
  • Receive, unpack, and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, and other storage areas to maintain a well-stocked and organized workspace.
  • Remove kitchen garbage and trash to maintain a clean and sanitary environment.
  • Sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors to maintain a clean and safe working environment.

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities:

  • We work in a fast-paced environment, and you must be able to handle the demands of the job.
  • Handling heavy loads and working in a physically demanding environment are essential for this role.
  • Repetitive tasks and standing for extended periods are also part of this job.
  • You must be able to work under pressure and maintain a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment.

Weight Handling:

  • Up to 23 kg (50 lbs) may be lifted or carried during this role.

Personal Suitability:

  • Client focus and efficient interpersonal skills are essential for this role.
  • Reliability and being a team player are also critical for success in this position.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively is necessary for this role.
