Furniture Craftsman

About the Role:

Cabinetmaker at Aikam Doors Limited. We are seeking a skilled Cabinetmaker to join our team and contribute to the creation of high-quality wooden furniture and fixtures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Study plans, specifications, or drawings of articles to be made, ensuring accurate implementation.
• Trim joints and fit parts and subassemblies together to form a complete unit and reinforce joints.
• Sand wooden surfaces and apply veneer, stain, or polish to finished products, preparing and applying laminated plastics as needed.
• Estimate costs and materials, ensuring efficient use of resources.
• Repair or restyle wooden furniture, fixtures, and related products, maintaining high standards of quality.
• Ensure work is completed in a fast-paced environment, adhering to safety and security protocols.

Requirements:

• Bondable and able to work in a team environment.
• Fast-paced environment, attention to detail, and standing for extended periods.
• Accurate, efficient interpersonal skills, organized, and punctual.
• 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a similar role.

Working Conditions:

• Permanent employment.
• 30 hours per week.
• Work in a fast-paced environment with a focus on attention to detail.
