We are seeking a highly skilled Accountant to join our team at Petrie Raymond. As an Accountant, you will be responsible for managing balance sheets and profit/loss statements, planning and setting up accounting systems, and supervising staff.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage balance sheets and profit/loss statements
- Plan, set up and administer accounting systems
- Supervise staff
- Train staff
- Arrange training for staff
- Ensure accuracy and compliance to accounting standards, procedures and internal control
- Prepare financial information for individuals, departments or companies
- Prepare reports and audit findings
- Prepare financial statements and reports
- Recommend improvements to accounting systems and management practices
- Conduct field audits of businesses to ensure compliance with provisions of the Income Tax Act, the Canadian Business Corporations Act or other statutory requirements
- Prepare income tax returns from accounting records
- Examine accounting records
- Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation
- 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in accounting
- Excellent oral communication skills
