Job Title: Truck Driver

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Truck Driver to join our team at Ottawa Transport. As a Truck Driver, you will be responsible for safely operating a tractor-trailer and transporting goods across various routes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate a tractor-trailer and transport goods across various routes, ensuring timely delivery and safety of cargo.
  • Plan and adjust routes based on changing conditions, using computer equipment and GPS devices to minimize fuel consumption and carbon emissions.
  • Perform pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition.
  • Load and unload goods safely and efficiently, adhering to company procedures and regulations.
  • Communicate effectively with central dispatch and other stakeholders to ensure smooth operations.
  • Record cargo information and hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
Requirements:
  • AZ class license and a valid driver's license.
  • Valid passport and a clean driving record.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing conditions.
  • Excellent communication skills and a strong work ethic.
