Research Assistant Opportunity

We are seeking a highly motivated Research Assistant to support a Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL) research project at the University of Saskatchewan. The successful candidate will work closely with the Graham Centre for SoTL Director, Dr. Melanie Hamilton, to assist in the development of the project.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collect and analyze data for a literature review, ensuring accuracy and adherence to established research protocols.
  • Support the preparation of research findings and insights for dissemination through reports, presentations, and scholarly publications.
  • Access public facing websites to find information related to the SoTL project.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of research activities, data collection procedures, and analysis techniques.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and participate in regular project meetings to ensure effective progress and coordination.
  • Adhere to ethical guidelines and research protocols throughout the research process.
  • Report directly to Dr. Melanie Hamilton, providing regular updates on project progress and seeking guidance as needed.

Requirements:

  • Must be enrolled in the Cross Departmental PhD program with a focus in the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning.
  • Demonstrated experience in the scholarship of teaching and learning (SoTL), including awareness of SoTL methodologies and research practices.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively present research findings and insights to diverse audiences.
  • Collaborative mindset and the ability to work effectively in interdisciplinary teams.
